eSATA to Thunderbolt Adaptor?

A real quick, simple question for verification:

I have a REDMag reader with an eSATA port (plus USB2 and FW800). If I upgrade my laptop to a Thunderbolt equipped Mac, should a simple adaptor like this allow me to transfer my Magcard data from the Mag reader at higher speeds (presumably limited only by TB speeds)?
