Error

I have brought in RED QT proxies into FCP from the same disk and shot on the same day. when I try and open a few of the clips it says "General Error" and then it says "Error. Out of Memory." These clips open fine in QT and Red Alert. And all the other clips are fine. Help!

Do you have any other file types in FCP on your time line? You can get that error from PSD's being on your timeline and certain other file types.

No, all RED footage of the same type on the timeline.

Do you have multiple projects/applications open?
How much RAM do you have?

No other applications open. OS 10.5 with 8 gigs of ram. It looks like it is happing to clips over 3 mins. Short clips open fine.
