I received my Scarlet and the setup today. I pop the 240Gb SSD in the side module and get the error "Media in Side SSD is not a REDMAG - Recording is disabled." I put in the 64Gb and it runs beautifully. Ive formatted and reformatted the 240gb SSD and it continues to give the error when I put it into the camera.

Also, the lowest RC option is 11:1 - wtf is that about?! I plan on making use of 6:1 with the Scarlet...

Will RED let me return the SSD? I dont want ANY error messages on anything fresh out of the box. Not cool. Can anyone help?

The other thing you can check is if the media itself needs a FW upgrade. There is a FW upgrade for the 512GB mags. Battistella

David - its only a 240g drive - not a 512. Would that mess things up to throw throw a wrong firmware on it?

Gunleik - the brain came with the latest firmware - I updated to the current beta and still no luck.

The FW update only works with the media it is assigned too.

Here's an update - Mailed the faulty drive back on Saturday. They checked out the LOG file - it was the drive and not the camera having the issue. I received the replacement 240GB SSD today from Fed-Ex - loads up perfectly with my 6:1 RC available! Thanks for the awesome service and thanks to you guys for trying to help!
