I shot several scene for a commercial this past september with ver.16.
I ended-up with 7 folders with all my .R3d visual files. Every folder had matching QT proxy files to the exception for a couple takes that didn't generate the QT proxies. Once the .R3D file (with the missing proxies) are loaded in Redcine, they appear to be working fine (they load and appear normal) except that I cannot export them. I need them in QT ProRes HQ. Redcine keeps giving me an error message. I tried the same process with Red Rushes with the same result. Are these files corrupted and a total lost? What is the work around for this type of problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

If the R3Ds are not corrupted, REDAlert should be able to generate new QuickTimes.

Thank you Nomad,
How can I tell or check if my files are corrupted. Is there a procedure to check them out, beside going trough what I described in my original post?

Thanks

François

For anyone reading this post and would like to help me out with this issue I could put up a link, so you could download the problematic R3D file.

Thanks

Francois,

I have some custom tools that will analyze R3D files and attempt to fix corrupt R3D footage. PM me with the download link, and I'll see what I can find out. However, I am out of town, visiting DC/NYC, and won't be available to download anything until Thursday. If you are in either of these areas, let me know and maybe can work something out.

Kyle

Hi Kyle, your help is very appreciated. I will upload the smallest file I can find (1.3Gig) on my I disk and will send you the link by Monday afternoon the 19 after it's ready to be retrieved.

Thanks again

François

Hi Kyle, sorry for the delay. It seams to be impossible to upload to my IDisk such a large file.(1.7 Gig finally) It keeps timing out. Anyway, I am in the process to sent you a link, using a different method. It takes over 5 hours to upload! I hope to be able to send it to you tonight. Hope you are still on board?

François

Hi Kyle, I have managed to upload on my FTP one of the problematic file. Could you send me your e-mail so I can send back the link.
my e-mail is: auriga@videotron.ca
Thank you

error during redrushes transcode

error during redrushes transcode

I add a clip and when I start the transcode I get an error in the Progress column. I have transcoded this same clip in red cine and within FCP. Does anyone know why?
