I was on a shoot this past weekend and my S-W went wonky for a sec and produced a log file and told me to send to RED. Where do I email the log file to?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

these errors sound scary are they that common? seem to keep on reading about them with the new cameras or is it a firmware problem

Can you elaborate on "wonky"?

We weren't recording at the moment. We watched playback of a take and then the screen went all snow and pixelated for a moment, and then a "0000xxxx" (can't remember the rest of the numbers) Error code dialog box came up. It then said, "Send log file to RED."

We checked the footage as we were scared that we just lost a day's worth of work. It's all there. We have archived the footage, and it's all there. All functional. So, everything seems to be okay, but since it did create an error and I have a log that I can send to RED, it's better safe than sorry to see if there is something up.

Suresh, don't panic too much. I've been shooting since November with my S-W and she has been working like a charm. Just had a scary moment and just need to get 100% clarification on the error.

TD Wood, THANK YOU!!!

Just a follow up.

RED said if the problem persists, then get back a hold of them. They told me to update to the latest firmware (which it wasn't and did so), and let them know if it happens again.

All is well.

Keep shooting those beastly Scarlet-Ws!
