EPIC is a 16 bit processing camera with an HRD mode we are anxious to compare with the F35 and Alexa. 5K at 120fps in a 6 lb package. It is going out on real movies starting now.

This was in response to a test being conducted of the Alexa, F35 (I think) and the RED mx. Jim suggested the EPIC instead. It's on the CML list.

Whoa! Are the results of this test anywhere? I'd sure like to see the side-by-side on this. Is this being conducted by the ASC, or the members of the CML?

Probably it means that some of director's EPIC Tattoo cameras are rolling pretty soon in a field...Jackson, Soderbergh, Liman,...

just to name a few directors that also were turned to cinematographers in their respective projects using RED yesterday or will get EPIC Tattoo today...
