At the day our Epic arrived, I thought the camera would be sad, after a few days in a dark box, to just spend the night at the office in its dark box. So I took it out to a blues concert in a dark cellar. I filled up my backpack with batteries, a 18mm and 100mm RPP and of course the Epic and left.
Initially I just wanted to make a few quick test shots, but I ended up with a full ssd (about 30 minutes material) and I would have shot more if I would have taken a second ssd with me. On the other hand I took 3 Red Bricks with me and only used one, even though I didn´t turn the camera off that often.
Using this camera is so much fun. With the current boot time (slightly above 9 sec) I never really had to wait for the camera, changing settings in the menu is so much easier and ISO 2000 looks great!
The only thing that went wrong that night was, that the LED lights at this location had a weired frequency and I ended up with flickering in the shots.

But I thought, now that I have a quiet moment I should just pick out a few stills and share them. Hopefully you guys like it.

Camera was set to 25fps, 180 degree, ISO 2000, lens at 1.8

Now after a few weeks with the camera I'm still so excited everytime I can shoot something with it. I hope I find a little bit more time soon to post more.

Thanks everyone at RED for your amazing work!

Congratulations Stefan! Nice shots.

I was hoping to be the first to Austria but I am not going this summer, but winter for skiing and rodeln ;)

Prost!

Prost!

If we would have gotten it one week earlier, my first shots would have been from Arlberg ;). But so I was playing with my goPro there. (at least that way I didn´t had to worry about the camera)
So lets hope that there is more snow this winter :)

Great images. Run times are so impressive. Thanks for posting

Fantastic! Would love to see 10 seconds of vision, just to see how it looks in motion.
