  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sorry to ask this all over again...........but,

Can the Red Team say at this point when people will be able to order/buy
an EPIC-X (stage 4)?

I have been told numerous times that this will be before the end of this year.

It would be nice at this point to say on what day the online ordering will
be open for stage 4 etc.

Yes - I was holding back from creating a thread on this - so glad one has appeared (so far, I've managed to not start a thread despite being a member for a while - so didn't want to break my duck :)

But, Stage 4 is massive in my plans for next year.

Simply, a few confirmations on.

Stage 04 EPIC-X Price/options?
Pre-order or order - before Xmas or the New year price increases?

I've been trying to manoeuvre my producers (and business partners) onto an Epic for ages. At this point, it seems Scarlet-X is the only thing visible, and the Epic-M package is just outside the reach of available funding.

So, my hope is that Stage 4 and EPIC-X is the answer.

But time seems to be ticking away.
 
I really hope someone from Red responds to this...........it being so near Christmas.

I got the red volts, lcd, ssd etc in a big pile on my desk. Just the brain that's missing...
 
I have a lot of lenses just waiting for the arrival of the EPIC-X.
 
+1 to date for Epic X Stage 4. Can't wait to order 2 of them to be able to do some 3D work. I was blown away by the trailer of Dutch film Nova Zembla in 3D at the Red Open House at Red Studios Hollywood last night.

later.... sorry that´s the best you´ll get for now. (there is presumably a HUGE chunck of stage 3, a lot larger than stage 2 I imagine) and although they are ramping up production, it might be a few months a way - then again what exactly is a few months?

(This is only my guessing by the way, as good as yours I imagine) I really hope you get your camera soon, know this - it is worth the wait!
 
I wouldn't worry. I'm 100% sure we'll be able to place an order until the end of the year. (Delivery however, is another question). I'm so certain, in fact, I've wire transferred the whole Epic budget to Red already. Its safely in my account waiting for that "order now" button.

The only question is the day when these orders will open. No one is talking, which means red user is always on in my phone and computer, awaiting the "Stage 4 is now open" thread. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa to drop the presents on the tree-EVERY DAY :). Every day I get somehow disappointed, but then there's excitement build up for the next day. Of course placing an order will not be the end of this cycle, because then the official wait for the Epic to arrive starts! It will be some fairly long months until I get an Epic (due to backorders) but it will eventually arrive. And well worth the wait!
 
I only wish to PLACE an order for an EPIC-X before the end of this year.

The delivery can wait till Red is good and ready to ship, but let the ordering begin.........soon.....please.

By the way, Martin, a bit off topic, but congratulations on your excellent products. Have a Glidecam 4000 with Smooth Shooter for more than 4 years now. Still going strong, and survived very challenging situations. Good job!

I think this is more of a countdown. Since there are 20 days until the end of the year, which means also the end of this year's prices, one thing is for sure, in the next 20 days we will be able to order it. Worst case scenario is December 31. Until then, I guess is to just keep checking, every day!
 
Has there been any clarification on Stage 4 Epic-X prices yet? ie a stage-4 Epic-X body costs $/£?

Basically, as there's just over a week to go until Xmas (and the Yuletide season - plus close-downs for holiday breaks etc :) - it would be good to get some visibility on Stage4 for non Red owners.
 
...my wife will kill me, if I have an eye on reduser on 24th of Dec.!

So please open Stage 4 before Christmas - to avoid any drama!

My family will love you! ;-)
 
I don't mind ordering on the 29th December! It would make a nice 39th birthday present.

This would be good info to have. Is it coming before the end of the year or is the wait going to be a bit longer?
 
Really, just info on stage4 would be good/useful at this point :wink5:

We all continue to speculate... but word from RED would be great.
