  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic X for the masses.

I may have to join the rest of the crew on this. That Epic is looking Sexy! Its got a spell on me!

There are a few different versions of "we" as there are a few different versions of Red cams.. I highly doubt it's Epic-S.. Scarlet Fixed if ANYTHING.
 
Whoa! Wait.. with all the crazy talk I totally forgot about the Epic-S! This is going to get interesting! People need to chill the F#%* out, and go buy a GoPro, if their that impatient.

The competition like an Arri Alexa, Sony F65 and Aaton Δ Delta all have sensor specs @ 14 stops of DR.

In that case Epic is a bit behind all of them.

Also RED used NAB for its major announcements like a RED Dragon sensor upgrade at the last show.

IDK why you have to be a condescending assh*le, just because EPIC is out of my budget as is RED ONE, not because I cant afford one, but because I cant justify spending that kind of money on something that is used for a passion... I do like the hacked GH2, some of the footage I have seen rivals R1 footage at 1080. And if consumers cant tell that thats all that matters to me, but I love the SCARLET, love the idea of it... Im a professional strobist photographer so I cant get any old video camer i.e. fs100... I need a dsmc system... and for your info its "McDonalds" not "MaCdonalds" but no I dont eat fast food... P.S. Scarley will have CF or SSD option at order, that has already been hinted at.
 
Peace dude, I didn't mean to be a condescending ass*^#€. My point is simply that there are many options out there, a hacked GH2 will as you say make nice images and can be had now for very little. I'd love to have a couple Scarlets too to for 3D and run & gun. RED Team's priority 1 right now is Epic X. Scarlet will come after Epic X stages, and that is a good thing for many reasons.
