EPIC WOMEN!!

Thought I would start this for the Ladies in the group!

Ladies, if you shoot with a Red camera, R1, Scarlet or Epic...show your face, camera and style!

This can not be true? Maybe we can be more inviting!

Karen started using a Red One for stills, and now loves to grab motion then find a surprise still in a group of a thousand frames.

Meanwhile her motion captures are amazing! She definitely has a different eye towards framing and pans!

Karen also is more of an artist and the techno is not as exciting. Maybe that is why, less Women our on RedUser?

I hope this can be an open opportunity to Women and an invitation!

I have an epic woman. Not sure where she gets her energy from. And she's sharp, dependable, very well built….. and definitely not upgradeable. ( :

My original RED #1008 was in the very first, original batch of rez holders. But I've never met another female in that group - not saying they don't exist, just that I've never heard from a single one, on this board or at any of the early Reduser events. Scarce as hen's teeth, back in the day.

Since then, plenty of women shooting RED cams and owning them, it seems. Still not many come here, mostly because I think the women who do shoot on RED are pros or serious DPs and not necessarily inclined to frequent message boards - there's a large base of serious male hobbyists here, and I don't many women in that category would spend up for a RED cam. I mostly check in from force of habit, I guess, from the old days, when it was all new and a bit of a free for all.

I shoot so many diverse things, but most of the footage I shoot is not owned by me. I rarely, if ever, shoot my REDs for fun. Which is too bad, because it really is a fun camera to shoot.... I have a "for fun" stock footage-y project in mind, which would involve a lot of scenics, but it keeps getting put off for everything else.

(good post, Stirling....)

Here, let's try this again. Thread cleaned.
