  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-W. Vertical glitchy stripes.

Hey,

I've been recording some shots where I have vertical, colourful and glitchy stripes. I have pushed the ISO to 1600 so you can see them better.
the black shade has well been done and I didn't have any warning message on the RED.

Any idea of how to fix it ? And where it comes from ?

bottom right they look a bit pronounced correct?

Does this happen with all your lenses? Check your lens elements for anomalies. Did you ever cleaned the sensor? Try replacing the OLPF and check for the same pattern again.

just curious .. are you using an AUTO blackshade or manual ? ALSO what firmware are you running to be clear.

That's a good question, I'll be looking through our footages later on and will perform some lens tests.

It's a problem that seems to happen rarely. We did a lot of shoot with the EPIC-W that have gone perfectly well, including the same lenses.
I haven't cleaned the sensor neither replaced the OLPF.

I have used the auto black shade and had some with and without the beta, need to be confirmed.

Looks like a bad sensor to me... This was my E-W pushed to 12800 and +8 exposure adjustment.

Thanks Brandon for the files, we have usually the same images as you (fortunately...)!
 
I had a similar issue--if you still have your camera and it seems to be happening only periodically, turn the operating temperature up a bit, mix that with pushing the ISO, and see if it's more pronounced.
