Hey all, unsure where to look for this, but I am doing a job in a few months that is going to require some in the water surfing shots. I dont want to purchase housing for one shoot so i was wondering if anyone knew of a site where they rent housing for our cameras? thanks a lot for any tips!

Might want to check with GATES Underwater Products inc. Seems I remember them renting some of their housings but I don't remember if that was if you already had one that was in for service or that it was just strength rentals.
I know they could send you in the right direction and also check as Tom said the Underwater bubble water blowers forum here on REDUser.net

Also if its for surfing you might want to check with SPL water housings.

Paul:

we rent underwater housings for both DSMC1 and DSMC2 cameras. Our PVC versions are significantly lighter than aluminum housings which make it nice for surfing shots and have been used on many surfing shoots (including the very first RED surfing shoot), yet can also be used for deepwater filming (175 foot standard depth rating) by simply adding the approx 8 pound ballast weight.
You can contact me at 954-937-6600

Paul, if you need any help with shooting with underwater housings, please reach out. I have a buddy who does tons of surf work and is a great water-operator.
