  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic-W Temperature

Is it louder for the operator or in general and on the set, especially in front of the camera ?
 
I rather feel like DSMC2 has become louder with firmware releases. Maybe The newness has just worn off. It seems like it was dead silent when I got it a year ago and now it seems louder than epic dragon with a v2 top and v1 front fan (my favorite combo).
 
Bumping this up, just in case anyone has some additional insight.
 
What about running a lower temp, like 32○, and then use silent record? Haven't tested that out, but would that help?
 
That would make the camera make more noise, as the sensor and internals get warmer. It needs to work harder when you stop recording to cool down.
A lot of stress for the fans.
