  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I made full payment for my EW yesterday was allocated yesterday as well. My camera will arrive today!

For the record I was an October 11th @ like 2AM Scarlet-W Reservation holder and I got my Epic-W today. So there shouldn't be anyone behind in line. I'm pretty sure I am the back of the train. :D

What the?! My Scarlet-W Package timestamp is Feb 10. I placed my upgrade request at 11:04am on Oct 11th and I haven't been allocated yet. Was I wrong in my understanding that we would maintain our original timestamp?
 
Hey Michael,

I would say your best bet is to keep contacting your bombsquad rep. Mines was Austin Cooper we were heavily communicating back and forth through this whole process.

Definitely doing that first thing in the AM. I've been on the phone with my rep at least 4 times and had multiple emails back and forth since Oct 11 and I thought even that was too heavy. I work 4 minutes down the street from Red HQ so maybe I'll just go knocking lol.

I thought I would be a perfect candidate for an early allocation because of a relatively early order date, immediate email on W-Day, no financing, and literally immediately available to pick it up from Irvine HQ anytime day or night, but I guess not.

That being said, I'm still grateful as all get out to be getting this deal, but my eagerness is killing me!
 
I'm happy for everyone who has been allocated for their Epic-W. It's the camera of the decade. I can't wait for the hand of allocation to reach out to me after these many months on a deposit list, switching my Scarlet-W order to the Epic-W at first opportunity, then wondering as days rolled by if a dog ate my timestamp.
 
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have an upgrade order in for an Epic-W. The spectacular color science and bleeding edge technology has me excited to get my first RED.
 
It's a bit unfortunate that the SW upgrade process is coordinated manually. I contacted my rep to upgrade my SW on Oct 11th then got back to me by the 12th and sent my invoice by the 13th so not exactly sure what my timestamp is (already received my SW so rep said original timestamp doesn't apply). Regardless, glad to have the opportunity to jump on such a great deal.

I'm going to guess my timestamp is around 3pm on Oct 13th if you want to put me in the queue.

Picked mine up today at RED in Miami :-) #1648. She'd been waiting for me since last Wednesday.

Already impressed - after a few quick test rolls at the store at 1650 ISO. Very minute grain structure. Accurate colors.

I'm stoked!

Was that a 'loophole' order that has already been allocated? Or were you waiting on the S-W for a while?
I'm in the loophole line (10/03) and trying to gauge how long the wait is likely to be
