I am in Orlando prepping some commercials. I swapped out the mount for the Canon mount, put my Canon 24-70mm zoom and carried it built to locations. SHot some footage resting on an apple box, created TIFF stills in RCX and showed the director and agency what it would look like. Now swapping the mount to my PL mount and we will start shooting in studio mode.

Can't so that with the Alexa, or the Sony F65........

Pretty cool

Shot with the canon mount in October and November in Europe. Put 5 canon lenses, 2 bricks, filters, LCD touch screen, 15" MBP, SSDs, Loupe for LCD and extra cables in my backpack that I carried on. Hard to beat the whole kit in carry on.

Ran around Brooklyn at midnight shooting a girl in a dress at 48 frames.

Contax 35 f/1.4, Beillen batteries and a side handle. Jump in the car and drive.

I heard it is a quick swap between the PL and the Canon-mounts. Do you use a RED FOCUS for the PL or the like or do you set the backfocus manually with a lens?

When I switch back from the Canon mount to the PL mount it is usually for a professional job (I do not own PL glass) so the camera goes into prep at a camera rental house and I have the collimation down there by professionals

Right on. I am in Puerto Rico prepping a feature and am anxiously awaiting the canon mount which I will be using solely for scouting. No more directors finder!

Welcome to Puerto Rico :)
We should share a couple beers soon!

Hearing these stories makes me more and more anxious for my camera arrival, and reassures me I made the right choice :)

Right with you brother!!!

So true. Cannot wait.

:))

Just got back from the Caribbean, Epic, LCD, side handle, four revolts, three Canon lenses (including the 70-200 which I love) filters, SSDs and reading glasses and a hoodman for the LCD. All in a medium size back pack that was surprisingly light. Oh and CF stix in hand.
I love traveling with this baby, sooooooo much better than with the R1
