  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic Underwater Housing

Paul, this may answer your question. Attached is the rendering of the production unit. See the battery and monitor mounting points and plates on the attached CAD drawing.

One more thing: the specs just changed: we managed to trim additional 1.5kg (almost 4 pounds) of metal. It is more costly as there is more complex 4-axis machining and wire cutting involved, but totally worth it. Now, less than 9kg (20 pounds) ready to dive (or carry on the plane)!

Hi Michael,
What depth rating have you ( or anyone else ) pressure tested your glass dome for the 14-24 to ?

Thanks,
gavin.

Depth rating is 90 meters.

Because of the very heavy duty front plate that it is mounted in (rather than the relatively thin plate used on most interchangeable setups for SLR housings) it may be able to go deeper since flex of the mounting surface is probably the most critical factor. It would be up to the user to do additional testing for a particular application.

Hi Michael,

I've tried to reach you several times via email or Direct Message but I couldn't get in touch with you.

Could you please check your DM box? I'd like to have a chat with you via email.

Thanks.
