EPIC supports SSD cartridges...

[Peter Majtan]

Notice the 1.8" 200GB slot just right of the LCD... :sarcasm:
While we are at it - there is 16GB CF to the left...
Credit goes to Gravy over at Scarletuser for pointing it out even without knowing what it is...

I hope it supports both HDD & SSD cartridges...

Where is this picture from?

[Dave Gray]

It's off the scarlet/epic camera spec pages. If you go down to the last page but one with the thumbnails. It's the thumb 2nd from the right on bottom row.

From the Brochure.

SO I am guessing thats the monitor on the back, no one confirmed this? Beast of a camera, I hope they do make it even if they only make 12 of them.

[Kyle Presley]

According to the brochure, the new recording modules can use SSD's.

Thanks guys! I used to click in Recon and nothing happened so I thought it could not be done on Red.com, but you have proved me wrong once again. Thank you!

[Jaime Vallés]

SSD is the future. I would never trust a spinning HDD for footage capture on the field. CF cards or SSD for me, baby!

BTW, that shoulder rig looks awesome! :w00t:
