Here is a small update for the guys on the release build.. fixes a few bugs, adds a bunch more Camera Gyro/ Position data and calibration to Metadata as we prepare to open up that info to the world. . Also updated the REDMOTE upgrade utility.

Significant changes since previous build v3.2.19:

* Fix brightness setting on startup for 5.6" and 7" LCD
* Fix camera startup issue due to gyro calibration error

Operational notes specific to Build v3.2.21:
* LCD stutter may occur at some frame rates.
* Detaching monitor during playback will require reboot on monitor re-attach.
* Camera powered by RED BRICK may display voltage instead of battery capacity on some cameras.
* EVF black level raised in some cases. Use Shadow to adjust.
* Image Magnify supported in preview only.
* HD-SDI is True Progressive and does not support 1080i or 1080 PsF signal formats.

Jarred Any ETA on the next cool video from you guys?

just updated and it killed my camera, could not communicate with the Brain with the Redmote or Side Handle ( I don't have a touch LCD) and was unable to get image on LCD HDMI screen.

I tried updating twice, removed side handle and still nothing.

Rolling back to get a working camera.

Hi,
We updated our Scarlet yesterday and encountered a problem when switching to Playback where it will freeze the image, but menus keep working (to shut the camera off). After a few crashes and reboots, I switched the camera to DC power (it was on V-lock) and then it stopped crashing, even after switching back to V-lock. This morning upon turning on the camera again, same thing happened again, a switch to DC power and back solved the problem...
Cheers,
Damien

Having the same exact issue....works with both redvolt in the side handle and the power adapter but the V-lock freezes camera in playback. Mine does not work with v-lock after changing to power adapter though (it did that only once) I just assumed it was the battery plate because it only displays 0v on the battery status on the screen.

I also experience the V-Lock issue with my camera and I have seen two others that have been sent out that have the same issue.

Seems odd that this is happening on a release build to me. I've raised it with Red Europe and they've told me to try using a side handle or the quad battery module. Problem is I don't want to use those during a production.

Is Red looking into this issue? The earliest build I can goto that has working playback is 3.07

Cheers
Paul

Any News on this? Our Playback also freezes when switching to playback. We are on V-Mount Batteries, had no chance to try with AC-Power or Redvolts but rolled back to 3.07 where playback works fine...
