  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC Reservations Begin...

I didn't go to the next step after the wire/cc question - so does it just create an order without deposit? Or is the usual 10% ad if so is it 10% of the $5000 as it appears from an earlier poster, or the $19500.

Yes, order Stage 2. If you want to pay deposit now by cc, just process in store. If you want to wait until closer to end of month to pay, you can do wire. If you have not paid by May 1, order is canceled.

I went through your web order logs and it looked like transaction timed out at some point during your order. If you add to cart, it times out or you leave, the order line stays cached. If you try again and thinks you are ordering two Stage 2's for the same camera. So, if something like that happens, make sure your cart amount is same number of cameras you are trying to so stage 2 with.

And you log into the shopping cart and proceed from there.

Hence, under SUBMIT button on "what cameras do you want to do Stage 2 with", it says "NOTE: After submitting this deposit order, you will have to login again to the RED online store to complete the transaction."

So just select one to get to the next screen and then don't worry about paying anything now. And is that May 1 you wrote just a goof, as the conditions of sale say "Stage 2 EPIC-X deposit payments must be received by June 1, 2010 or your reservation will be cancelled without notice."

Would love to get this going before I pass out... Thank you Brent for the immediate feedback on my account name and password. I even went into my browser and deleted my red.com cookies but still no dice.

Thank you guys though for another brilliant opportunity...
 
If you did NOT get an order confirmation email from RED a few minutes after you think you completed the transaction, you are not done. You first login so we can check what cameras are eligible for Stage 2. After that is settled and you agree to move forward with Stage 2, you have to log into your shopping cart to complete the order.

my cart is empty. should I start over? confused by last post. sorry!

Tried again, takes me to product order page. There is NOTHING EPIC in the store. Something is amiss

Yes, a goof, been up for over 23 hours straight, sorry, should be Jun 1, 2010.

The shopping cart is the same at with all our orders. If you want to pay in full now on credit card, great, pay with one. If you would like to wait closer to the June 1 deadline, you are more than welcome to submit a wire between now and then.

Brent it's getting frustrating... How do i login to the store? I don't see log-in prompts anywhere. I can see "0 items $0" on the top right corner but that's about it. No depost request, no nothing. I did the resevation with two different browsers and i get the same result.
 
How about that delivery question?

I am going to wire anyway... but still want confirmation. I get the same result Brent as Miltos
