MadlyFins introduces The Chocolate Bar, a remote trigger for the EPIC. It's a simple device that gives you a cabled start/stop button to add to your kit over simple BNC or a fixed cable.

Features include an aluminum casing, illuminated start/stop button, and sexy stylings. We're currently taking pre-orders, which are $10 off!
Get it here at the discounted price!

Can you tell us more about this:
We can replace the BNC port with a fixed length cable that plugs directly into the camera for an additional $80.

is this a Lemo?
how long can it be?

It is a LEMO that plugs directly into the SYNC port on the EPIC.

It's about 3 feet long. I can do longer for a slight additional cost on a per-case basis.

Can i suggest another option :-) KEEP the BNC plug, and add a short BNC to lemo sync pigtail, then you just add off the shelf BNC's in the middle to extend it?

Love this remote regardless but not overly keen on the bulky fussy sync cable with stray BNC's dangling everywhere?
a fixed cable thats more like 25' long would be more practical? tho hard to please

Full props for building this either way mate!

Hi Jason,
For me its just a short term fix for me.... Once the REDMOTE Fiiiiiiiiiiiinally works at a useable distance... Then this box gets retired the same day.
Regarding your BNC idea.. yes. totally agree... Keep the lemo to BNC short , then connect to off the rack BNC Coax. Done!

Andy.. I've emailed you. I need your little box, yesterday... Come on mate, pump em out. :)))))))

Glad somebody made it. I was having a devil of a time getting anyone to produce the thing.

Thanks guys!

A BNC to LEMO cable is definitely something we're looking into. Right now a lot of people use the breakout cable regardless for timecode, so it just works itself in that way.

Andrew, I'll shoot you an email!

Jason, same. I can make you a custom length fixed cable, just for the additional cost.

International shipping should now be worked out.

Hey guys,

We're out of preorder now and shipping all the preorders within a few days. These are now available for mass sale at $75/each.

Yes, this will work with the Sync Bob, you just have to use the bottom port of it. It will work with 100'.
