  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC... ready.

Terrific, Jim. I can't afford the Epic, BUT I know the Scarlet isn't/can't be too far behind. Thank you!

I am with Joe. Can't afford the Epic, but knowing that the Scarlet can't be too far behind I am just so exciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiited now. Rock on, Jim and Red.

now its ACTION Time

Thanks J
95% will work 4 me

Awesome news. One step closer.

I'm ready when you are.

I'm DPing a short film on R1MX on the nineteenth. It's kind of a character study piece dealing with family secretes. Micro budget, financed by the director. I'd be more than happy to take out one of your tattoos, and give you an honest and detailed report of how it did.

Just PM me. You should have my shipping address already.

Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar.
You're gonna go far, fly high,
You're never gonna die, you're gonna make it if you try;they're gonna love you.

(No irony intended here...!)

WOW

I have said this before... if this was easy, the other guys would have already done it.

EPIC is a nuclear generator in a matchbox. It is the single most difficult project I have ever seen, worked on or imagined. Think about it just for a minute... what else does 5K at 120fps, variable RAW (REDCODE) and records to an SSD with ramping, HDR (with magic motion), a full 1080P or 2K direct output via HDSDI, wireless control, modular, FLUT, non-destructive LUTs, and a hundred other features in the body the size of a Hasselblad? What else does any of this? It is no wonder we are late. It is a miracle we actually did it. Truly a miracle.

Jim

CONGRATS, all your hard work and constant dedication is about to finally pay off, can't wait to see it!

Well, this will be a roller coaster weekend, emotionally speaking!

It is 1 year anniversary of the worst event.

But I will be shooting a Fly Fishing segment for the Squaw Valley doc on my R1-MX.

And now I find out my Epic-X/StgII is getting its bits & bobs ordered!

I am going to need to up my meds:)

Thank you to Jim & crew. An amazing ride that really just started!

It almost had to be named Red ColorScience Fiction...

That's GREAT news! I start shooting a film with Red One MX in two weeks. So I'm assuming Epic won't be available by then?

Congrats to Jim and everyone at Red! I'm not good at expressing excitement in type, but jumping up and down here at home! :D
