  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic Preview won't change when ISO is adjusted.

Hey Everyone,
I've looked all over and haven't found anything about this, and I've never had this problem until today. Using an Epic X and whenever I change my ISO, the image on my touchscreen and sdi monitor does not change at all. When I change the shutter the image does change. Has anyone else experienced this/ know a solution? If not I will be reinstalling the firmware...
Many Thanks,
Derek

I think it's a firmware issue. The camera is telling me I'm not, but I suppose it could be stuck in Raw view...

Just checked. I wasn't in Raw view, and when I turn it on the image does switch and display RAW. The ISO changes still don't register.

had the same thing on my scarlet the other day. its the raw viewing thing in the monitor. thought i turned it off but didnt it. thought i had turned if off when i had turned it and turned on another mode as well, thought it would of have canceled it.... but still learning my scarlet

I've had that happen three times on my Epic-x. It's easily fixed by "restoring factory default settings". I still don't know what causes it but I haven't seen it recently.

Sorry for not updating sooner. Currently I'm on a plane and can't touch the camera for the next 13 hours, but I will triple check that RAW view isn't activated (it hasn't been) and then I will try the system restore... if all that fails I'm sure restoring the firmware should solve this issue.

Derek I have had this happen as well. You don't need to do a fresh firmware install. It worked for me to restore factor default settings. Note that this will get rid of your current black shade and you will have to manually reselect it, but you don't have to redo your black shade. Hope this helps.

I'm seeing the same undocumented feature. I'll try restoring to factory presets when I get into the studio today and report the results. I tried several reboots with no joy. I will first try deleting my setups before reverting to factory presets.

Good shooting and best regards,
Leo

Unfortunately, just deleting my settings did not restore the display to show changes in the ISO settings, but returning to factory settings did the trick on the first try.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

Are you guys sure that it's not just stuck in RAW mode?

Quite sure; it's not in RAW mode.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo
