Does anyone have a picture of the inside of an Epic Pelican case with a complete kit? I am waiting on my bomb, redvolts and travel charger and was curious how it all fits in there.

I was looking for a picture of the case with everything in it that you will eventually get with an M kit.

Interestingly the foam cutout of the case in the video is different than mine, probably because there was no side handle in that kit. Maybe those foam pieces pop out.

Here you go

This is pre-REDmote but it would normally be docked to the camera when in the case - the foam is pre cut you just pull it out.

The bits in the plastic are the blanking panels for the side handle and SSD module.

You really do not appreciate how small the camera and the case is until you see it in the flesh!

Cables.

Sorry for the crap iPhone 3GS pic... But here's the full kit, I just packed it up for the day. Top-left corner is the REDVOLT travel charger -- seems to take about 2 hours, 20 minutes to charge one (ouch!). Getting 30 minutes give or take, with each battery. So, REDVOLTS are not a real solution at the moment, IMO. They're nice, but I'll be ordering another 4-pack or two of them as well as a quad-charger or two as soon as the quad-chargers are available.

Between the charger and camera, as well as below the camera, right of the LCD, are two spaces that each hold two REDVOLT batteries.

The bottom-right opening is fine for accessories or small cables. I have my sync cable and Quick-Release mounting plate in there. Power cable for the charger, as well as the LCD and EVF cables store below their respective components.

what's too bad is that after you put any accessories on the camera, nothing fits in the case.
Might as well not worry about what all the cut outs are for and just rip the laser cut foam out. Wait till your package is complete then buy some foam and make your own cut outs.

Very true. The only accessory I tend to leave connected to the camera is the small piece of rail that I connect the top handle to. Half the time I take it off and connect the outrigger or the LCD or whatever. I've been dragging my feet on ordering something like the FMJ top plate from Brook/VF. There's been a time or two where it would've been handy, but most of the time my configs are just fine with what I have...

As for the foam, it's not a bad layout for what it is, but I would like another pocket for cables and small bits or room for a couple more SSD cards. There is enough room for either of those, possibly both if the layout was reconfigured. Would really like the case to be about an inch deeper so that we could leave the QR mounting plate on the camera at all times. Then we could pull it right out of the case and snap it into the QR base without having to bolt that little plate on.

I didn't show it in my pic, but I have a small microfiber cloth that I tuck in behind the top of the LCD and it hangs over the screen for extra protection. Also handy to have it around for wiping.

A few M owners I know have pulled the included foam and reconfigured the case. I will probably do the same... But I'm leaning more toward a new case that's a bit bigger, but still FAA compliant for carry-on and just doing a new foam-job on that one.

Thanks Jeff, thats the picture I wanted to see!

No problem.
