  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-Ms now...

Seems they expect the backlog to be fulfilled within 2 months.
 
Correct, we expect orders being placed today for BOMB EVF to be fulfilled by Sep 2011. That would include all orders prior to today - be it for BOMB EVF alone or as part of the EPIC-M package.

right now, in the store, the Epic M Package is labeled "in stock"

the Red Touch 5.0" LCD is "backordered"

The DSMC Side Handle and the Red Touch 5.0" LCD are both part of the Epic M Package which is "in stock"... I can understand why they are available prior to that pack. That makes sense.

Now here is my concerned. I'm trying to put together an Epic package for a Digital Cinema program in a University. But we'd rather go with the Epic M w/PL mount/side SSD rather than the package, as we're more interested in spending money in a clutch rather than the EVF, and we'd like the 4-pack of 246GB Redmags rather then the 4 128GB that come with the package.

Long story short, the package doesn't perfectly fit our needs.

So the big question : if ordering an Epic M (with PL and side SSD) tomorow... Does the camera ship with the Side Handle and the LCD? Or at least the LCD?

I couldn't imagine how frustrating it would be to receive the camera without any LCD to operate the menus...

How urgently do you need the Epic? Would it perhaps make sense to order a Stage-4 Epic-X and rent an existing Epic-X or Epic-M until your order arrives? You probably end up saving several thousand dollars going that route... and you know you'll get a complete camera.
