The EPIC AC Adapter, 2B to 1B power RED One to EPIC power adapter cable, and RED STATION 1.8" REDMAG reader should all be listed down below with the additional aks -- they're not included with the EPIC-M kit.

He's throwing $2039 worth of extras. Seems like a fair deal to me. Especially if he has the full kit with Bomb EVF and side handle ready to deliver.

Hi Jeff,

In a situation like this does it still retain the 2 year warranty?

thanks
Luis

I think that's a question for RED and yes, that could have an effect on the details of any sale and the final price.

Thank you , Jeff for the clarification. I ordered all the extras as one go and as they trickled in over the summer along with the package parts I lost track as to what was part of the original package and what I paid extra for. The body and everything is in excellent condition. I mostly used it on my own jobs but It rented out here and there as people would find me and want to rent. After the last job , the side handle dial and d-pad seemes a little loose so I'm having Red look at it, but either way if sold it would all be pristine and full package ready to shoot, mount on heads and record sound.

It does have an effect on the warrenty. I'll let RED answer directly. If anyone is in need of a project right away, this kit is a good solution.

As soon as any of the RED CAMERAS is sold, the original Warranty is VOIDED, and a new one replaces it... New Warranty is for 90 Days at change of ownership, which is mandatory on any camera sales.

Is that warranty just on the brain? Or all the components in the package?

If the camera goes to RED for an ownership transfer would it not still be covered in the warranty period?

David

Better YET: warranty is one thing, but I'm assuming or rather one would ask: Does the camera remain in the good graces of RED for the UPGRADES such as new heat sink and top plate that will soon be recalled by RED to get new ones put in or on.....So would this camera also have that same ability? One would assume so, but certainly that clarification should be known.

Chris.

I just wanted to state that don't think anyone is trying to crap on your sale, but with an EPIC M sale happening this soon, it does bring up a lot of questions.

Just the brain. Everything else carries the standard warranties. Which is one year, except for the media, which is still 90-days, if I'm not mistaken...

This is where it's best to talk with RED. I know for the RED Ones, they offer short extended or renewed warranty periods (at a price) when the camera is sent in for evaluation and service, whether ownership is transferred or not.

That always bothers me. A warranty isn't free. a two year warranty is part of the price paid. Its calculated into the cost. To void the remaining warranty because a customer transfers it to another owner isn't good business. If you stand behind your equipment you should stand behind your equipment.

This is an important topic.

Like a fair number of folks, I hadn't anticipated the Epic schedule, and as a stage two holder who's X is arriving today, and who previously purchased an M and still in possession of my MX, I have one more camera that is practicable for a company my size.

I'm going to sell one of these guys, I just not entirely sure if its the X or my trusty MX.

Perhaps a separate thread where we collectively ask for clarification of both warranty and transfer policies, and future upgrade path for Epic would be appropriate.

While it is important information, that I'd very much like clarification on, it seems like it should be in a separate thread, no?
