Epic-M Heatsink and Body Upgrade

PM Me and I will tell you about some other things I'm more worried about. Not Mission critical, but still quandrous.

I'd be willing to bet there will be a rollout retrofit either six months from now or when Dragon upgrades start becoming an option.

I've been wrong about things before.

I don't think that's going to happen :wink5:. This is purely a guess on my part but the M upgrade would involve thousands of M's being shipped back to RED, updated, and then shipped back to owners. I would think (and very much hope) that this would take a lower priority to all the stage 3/3.5 RED ONES being shipped back to RED for the EPIC exchange. I don't think that has even started yet. I think it's safe to assume that RED wouldn't try to do both simultaneously.

I'm not at all saying your request is unwarranted...just perhaps unrealistic. Off hand, the reduced heat sink weight will need to be "upgraded" on all the current shipping X's too, right? There's is also the flocking issue RED has mentioned that needs to be "fixed".

I'd believe that this will come at a later stage, when the whole STAGE PROGRAM is finished, as well as getting most early Scarlet-adopters their camera bodies. Then they can handle the load of getting cameras sent in, changed, and sent back.

Not implying that they really owe us this -- but whether it's paid or not, it'd be nice to have the exact same body.
