A lot of you have posted/emailed asking "How long does it take to get an EPIC-M?" Well, our production team has been really cranking on the EPIC-M brains. So, if you submit an inquiry for EPIC-M and are approved for the program, we now expect to be able to fulfill your EPIC-M order under normal order processing timelines (ie, deliver 3-5 business days after receiving payment).

Thanks, BC

You guys are cranking now, Brent!

And/or if you have submitted a request for the M program and have not been contacted in reasonable timeframe (several weeks), does that mean a no-go?

A lot of factors come into play on the M program (as has been mentioned before by Jim so I will not rehash). Just because you have not been approved yet does not mean you won't be.

Thanks Brent, so just to clarify... once you are approved, the order can at present be fulfilled virtually immediately... but the length of time between request and approval is variable and open-ended, may be days, weeks or months?

(This is pure curiosity on my part, I have no horse in this race!)

congrats Brent!
the M deal is freaking awesome. now with this timeline everybody in need (after approavel) can get one. thumbs up!

Just curious, why do you need to go through an approval process in order to buy an M?

Several reasons... one is to insure that the customer is willing to accept a pre-production camera that doesn't have every feature and acknowledges that firmware upgrades will be required. If we just accept every order, we will get some that never got this message and potentially be disappointed. We don't want that. We have also had customers not qualify for a variety of reasons... but very few.

For a pre-production camera this cam is doing a lot of damn cool productions already ha!

I'm probs on that naughty list :P

Jeez ... at this stage what isn't enabled of any importance?

Even if absolutely no features had been enabled between Ketch's Epic USA Tour and today, I'd be completely satisfied. I'm pretty sure you've enabled a few things since then. ;)

And in Red's case "pre-production" doesn't mean any of the things it means at other places ... like unfinished, prototype, or delicate. Every Epic I've seen is a marvel of construction, engineering and industrial design ... its as notable for that as it is for its status as the worlds premiere motion imaging instrument.

If I had the $58,000 I'd apply to the Epic M program this red hot second.

Of course after arguing with you on RedUser ... I suppose I may well be on the "naughty" list :(

If I'm not I'll take one. Anyone need a kidney?
