EPIC-M #1221 has finally arrived and, after a few days of testing, is now available for rent. The package currently consists of:

EPIC-M Brain with titanium PL mount and Side SSD Module
5" Touchscreen LCD
Top Handle
RED Quick Release Baseplate
19mm carbon fiber rods
Custom laser-cut foam EPIC Pelican case
4x RED Brick V-Lock Batteries with Red Quickplate

Obviously, several 128GB SSD cards including RED Station reader are also available, as well as a RED PRO 18-85mm T2.9 Zoom, a full set of RED PRO Primes T1.8 and other accessories (follow focus, matte box, tripod, Easyrig) for a full shooting rig. Viewfactor Full Metal Jacket Top Plate and Wooden Camera A-BOX XLR-adaptor will be added to the package as soon as they arrive, pending little more than customs clearance.

Since the BOMB EVF, Side Handle and REDMOTE are not yet included (but will hopefully be delivered soon), I am currently offering the package for a special introductory price. If you're interested, contact me for a custom quote under smoretto@gmx.de.

Of course, RED M-X #302 remains available for rent as well.

Hey,

I grew up in Bochum !!!

That's awesome there is an Epic in Bochum. I'm actually going to be visiting next month. Maybe we should hang out and talk shop.

Let me know if you need something from the east coast. ;-)

Hey Jan,

cool, drop me a line when you're in the area. Maybe we can meet up for a beer or something.

Can't have the big cities keep all the Epics for themselves now, can we? ;-)

The more, the merrier. So far, they seem quite well-distributed across the country. ;-)

Time for a little update. :)

Most importantly, EPIC-X #302 has recently arrived, performed flawlessly on its first shoot just three hours after being loaded of the FedEx truck, and is now also available for rent. So that's two Epic packages available in Bochum and beyond.

Additionally, more parts from my Epic-M package have arrived, notably the BOMB EVF and the DSMC Side Handle. So my Epic-M base package now consists of:

EPIC-M Brain with titanium PL mount and Side SSD Module
BOMB EVF with Wooden Camera Universal EVF Mount
5" Touchscreen LCD
DSMC Side Handle
Top Handle
Viewfactor Full Metal Jacket Top Plate
Wooden Camera A-Box XLR-Adaptor
RED Quick Release Baseplate
19mm carbon fiber rods
4x RED Brick V-Lock Batteries with Red Quickplate

Still waiting for both Redmotes and the second EVF for the Epic-X. But shouldn't be far away now...

Hi Fernando,

thanks, that's good to known, will keep it in the back of my mind. Very nice set you have there. :-)

Greetings from Bochum

Recently added both a Floatcam DollyCrane HD (love that thing!) and a two channel RT Motion MK.3 wireless follow focus / iris system to the inventory.

Time to dig up an old thread. :-)

It's actually been a few weeks but the cameras have been keeping so busy I'm only now coming around to announcing the good news that both RED EPIC-X DRAGON #302 "Fuchur" and RED EPIC-M DRAGON #1221 "Smaug" are now available for rent.

If you're in need of a fire breather, contact me for a quote. :-)
