Hey, wondering if anyone on the forum has combined these together and if so can you please share any thoughts and/or footage

especially shooting 2:35 or anamorphic on epic or scarlet

thanks in advance

Lomos are quite popular and there should be a lot of footage out there of people using these lenses on RED cameras.

I shot this trailer a few weeks ago on the Epic in 5K - 50 fps with Lomo anamorphics, mostly the 75mm & 100mm:

disregard the grain, that was all done in post, these lenses are not super sharp but have an amazing aesthetic. would love to own a set.

Thanks for sharing Jason. I am interested to know more about what I am seeing. Did you shoot exclusively with the Lomos? I see a few very distinctive flare patterns in the piece and was wondering if you could elucidate a bit.

@ 0:15 Which lens was this? Is it the same as @ 0:54?

@1:25 This is very interesting. The oval flare elements are bisected repeatedly and from differing angles. @ 1:41, 1:59, 2:12, 3:15 etc. Is it a post effect, lens or something in front of the lens? Details, please. :-)

Here's a music video we directed, shot on Epic with Lomo Roundfront Anamorphics: https://vimeo.com/63368977

I was referring to the way the oval shapes are sharply cut sometimes in half. The effect is most evident in the flares from each candle.

The bisected line down the center is an artifact that occurs on these roundfronts and on a lot of anamorphics if the light hits just right.

The flare @4:02 is distinctive, different from the rest. It is evocative of JJ Abrams' Star Trek Panavision flares. Is yours from the Lomos do you know?
