  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC images...

I believe you said "800 is the new 320"... You were right. This is completely noiseless!

I'm always right... :-)

(except for the schedule... but I warned you about that)

800 is default on M-X for a reason - but due to how it all works, the range of usable ISOs means you have the flexibility while shooting.

This is a little off topic but I have to ask.
Can you swap the battery in the side handle? I noticed on the epic page that there was no clear way to take out a REDVolt, at least from the bottom.
Also, what kind of info does the sidehandle's lcd display?

Sure... open the hatch (front/side) and pull it out.

Glad you gave yourself a couple hours just go shoot. It must feel like taking your first flights in a plane taking years to build. The journey has just started. Thanks for giving others wings. The possibilities of this camera are going to give cinema a whole new look. Lighting to look like lantern or actually using lantern are two different things. RED noir anyone? Also, is that the scale you used to weigh Charlie in the background behind the barmaid ?

Thank you for posting that XL shot. I had been curious to see how it looks.

Sounds like you can pack it up with tons of batteries at once if you needed to for some reason. Two XL's, two bricks, and the handle to boot. At that point might as well use a larger external, but it is nice to have so many options.

Looking forward to seeing all the detailed battery specs.

Jarred and I tend to find ourselves lighting to ISO 800. We aren't afraid of lower or higher... just seems "right" to us.

Jim

Does ISO still matter now that there's FLUT? :D

P.S. Nice looking shots.
