I DP'd this project for FELLOWSHIP CHURCH, Grapevine, TX,
for showing during their Easter Morning Services. Really gave
me an opportunity to use the phenomenal variety of frame rates
to serve the story.
All post, including editorial, VFX/sky replacement, etc. and audio
were handled by the church's video department. 2 day shoot.
6 day post pro.

Wow! Such an amazing feel this film has - the audio side really compliments the pictures.

It would be awesome to see a jpg of an ungraded shot - like the one at 2:45 right after the axe is seen in the ground.

I think this is one of the best looking pieces I've seen on Reduser in a long time. Really, really amazing. Just a great piece of film-making all around. And a very compelling look at the subject matter. I'm not a particularly religious man myself, though I do believe, and I have family that are quite devout...but I found myself pushing my feelings aside and getting lost in the imagery, in the story....I dare say it's inspiring, in that it gives me a level to shoot for.

Again, great job.

BRAVO. It's always extremely difficult to approach a story that's been told a thousand different ways. Craft of the highest level applied here.

WOW! Thank you all for your very gracious comments!

As with any cinematic endeavor, it's truly a team effort; I was just one part
of the tool set.

Of course, I owe a debt of gratitude to Jim and his team as their cameras,
first my RED ONE #74, and now my EPIC, have opened all sorts of creative
doors for me. I am especially blessed when asked to work with people
who have the vision and desire to create great art.

This project took something that has almost become profane by its sheer
ubiquitousness and turned it into something powerful, intimate, and fresh.
i'm blessed by it and hope you are, too.

Very good.

Rain is a combination of practical on-the-set water effects and post enhancement.

I believe a Behind The Scenes video will be released in a week or two.
