I did a search, but couldn't find any answers to this issue. Every few seconds, the camera will freeze on a frame for a fraction of a second. Then it will release the frame and record normally for a few seconds before it does it again. It started today while I was at a client's office doing some HDRX tests. I was on a Beta build 4.0.6 when that happened. When I got home just now, I loaded 3.3.15. When it started happening again, I loaded 3.2.21. It is still happening. I ran those versions before for weeks or months without issue.

I have a shoot at daybreak in the morning. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

OK, that is just odd. I had my Paralinx Arrow connected to the HDMI, but didn't have it plugged into the D-Tap since I didn't have the director's monitor set up. I tried plugging it in and everything worked fine. I unplugged the power to the Arrow again and the problem came back. I unplugged the Arrow from the HDMI cable and the problem went away. Plugged the Arrow back into the HDMI cable and connected it to the D-Tap and everything worked. So, apparently if you have something connected to the HDMI port, that HDMI device has to be powered up for the camera to work properly.

Hi Larry

Hmm.. I wonder if this could be related to the issue we've been having on two scarlets as described here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?78839-Corrupt-frames-please-help/page14, because we do indeed have a wireless HDMI set-up in operation.

Does it appear in the recorded footage, or just on monitoring? The difference between your situation and ours is that from your description it seems to be happening non-stop, vs. ours is much more intermittent.

The issue only happened when the camera wasn't recording. The files played back just fine. And yes, a frame would hang up every 1-9 seconds constantly.

I had this same problem on two different Epics with a Paralinx on a shoot for Sony last year. The dropped frames DID show up in the recorded footage. Our DIT got a log to RED, but we couldn't wait for a fix and ended up ditching the Paralinx and using a Cam-wave instead. Our dropped frames were intermittent.
