RED announced the .RMD sidecar metadata file and it's ability to be loaded in the SD card slot of the RED One. Looks can be created in RedcineX and loaded into the camera. Would it be possible to send this same look wirelessly to Epic, with it's 802.11 wireless ability? It would be great to have a DIT making LUTs in RedCine and sending them to the camera wirelessly. The 802.11 interface has great potential for transmitting metadata to and from the camera (camera logs, etc).

At the very least, accurate monitoring, meaning that the image on the monitor is exactly what you get back on your DIT system color & gamma-wise, then you could simply dial the look in with the redmote or on your system via wifi. Also too, system access, varispeed changes, project settings and power ON/Power OFF options too!

The redmote solution would be accessible to more people & situations. While sitting inside the helicopter, for instance. :)

Don't worry... in the end we will all be happy.

Lets call it speculation
