The Sony price point for the F65 wil be announced closedr to fall with full specs. Have seen it and it is a nice bit of kit but will not be priced anywhere near the Epic X ......
In my humble opinion the Epic is perfect for someone like me. Small, rugged, and modular. Yesterday I was shooting VFX plates for Spiderman in 2D. So easy and could simply turn on HDRx when I needed a little help with a sky.
Believe me I wish I had my Stage 3 Epic X. But it will be worth the wait.

Thanks Peter. I for one was definitely impressed with what I saw from the new Sony camera in their 4k theater at NAB. However, considering that it's final debayered resolution will probably still be right around where the 5k Epic is ... and the fact that it's much bigger/heavier, poses more media/storage issues (no Redcode like we have) and will likely be $100,000+ for a starting package -- I don't think it's something I will ever own.
But hey, they've made a GREAT camera it seems and if this means getting better looking feature films out there and utilizing their theatrical 4k projectors then I'm all for it. The industry and movie viewing public win.
Like you, I'm going to patiently wait for my Stage 3 Epic
