Upgraded to 6.0.31 on Dragon Epic-X and was using Canon EF mount 24-105 IS and 70-200 V.1 IS. Power shut off randomly on full battery, even during record. Sometimes had power for seconds, sometimes minutes, sometimes hour. Swapped multiple batteries and cards, still would shut down. Sometimes would have to take off lens to power back up, then could put lens on. Did have lens data and could adjust aperture.

However, I have had a 70-200 v2 on the camera powered up for an hour, and can't replicate. Anyone else had this issue with older versions of Canon EF zooms?

I did have periodic power failure on this camera (two builds previous) but this is the first time the issue has reappeared...

Hmm. You might have to send your camera back to Red. Did you talk to your Rep?

Not yet. Was hoping to get a consensus first. It's extra annoying since it's not my camera (owned by the production company I work for alot). They upgraded to Epic Dragons from Scarlets last month. The same camera did have intermittent power failures before, but seemed to go away after upgrading to the latest firmware. Until this...

Hey,

Same trouble here (random shutdown), but not only with the canon zoom, with all my lenses.
My Dragon have 1month 1/2 month and its the second time i send back for RMA. Apparently they found something, as its fixed they send it back.
We have another Dragon bought in the same time, we use same lenses, same 3rd party gears and no pb with this one. Mine with firmware 5 had trouble and 6 too. So maybe its hardware, look with them !
