Epic Dragon Lowest Compression Ratio For High Framrates?

[Corey Benoit]

I have a scarlet dragon and it locks me at 13:1 for 60fps in 5k & 10:1 for 60fps in 4k. I also get locked at 8:1 for 23.98 in 5k and 7:1 for 5k ws.

what are the epic dragon lowest compression settings for 5k and 6k in comparison to what I have listed above?

thanks guys!

Also would like to know.. and does having mini mags vs 1.8's make a difference in compression rates available?

This should help: http://www.red.com/tools/recording-time
It's for recording time, but the settings will also change based on the lowest compression ratio for the fps and frame size you've chosen (and sensor/media).

Everything you need to know about frame rates and compression ratios is in the DSMC Media Operation Guide:
