  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic Dragon HDMI Port not working

me to, they could not give me an idea of the cost of repair for the hdmi board until they have done a £100 evaulation

hope its not going to be a lot i'm still on the fence about moving up to SW
 
I had no audio, then no hdmi video during a shoot in November and it was repaired under warranty for my Scarlet Dragon. SDI was also without audio until repaired.
 
this is yet another reason the new body will be much better.. imagine you could just pull the hdmi port off the camera, replace it your self with a temp while you wait for red to repair it..Also imagine being in repairs at red.. WOW haha new world.. i would imagine it is much easier to work on a camera without the hdmi/sdi ports in such a tight space under the rear of the camera. Makes you appreciate what the talented tech support/repair crew at red has to go through to keep us all shooting. the decisions red is making in design and features is very impressive, streamlining everything.. fkn crazy really bananas
 
yeah, lots of good stuff. If I were getting a weapon, which I ain't any time soon, I'd still get the adapter for the monitor so I could move it off the top. I don't really like that coupling.
 
Yeah, mine also stopped working last weekend in the middle of a shoot, that was fun. "Hey client, come hang out over my shoulder for the rest of the weekend..."
