Epic Dragon 5kWS 120FPS

Hey Guys,


Having an issue with an EPIC DRAGON running 120FPS at 5KWS. It seems to roll, but in playback does not appear to be 120fps, more like 48. We ran a test of 60fps in 5K and it was clearly slower. Is there a glitch or something I am missing?

Any suggestions on how to get to 5k 120fps?

Also, are the additional frames actually being recorded/will the post team be able to pull them out, or is the camera just not shooting them?

Sensor Frame Rate is the rate at which frames are recorded to the SSD:
MENU -> SETTINGS -> PROJECT -> Frame Rate ->Sensor Frame Rate

Project Time Base is the rate at which the frames are played back to you:
MENU -> SETTINGS -> PROJECT -> Frame Rate -> Project Time Base

Your camera will playback the frames at the Project Time Base.
Your NLE will playback the frames at the Project Time Base by default or whatever you set your editing timeline to in order to override the default rate.

I am maybe not explaining the issue correctly.

Sensor FR: 120fps
Project: 23.976

All (from ones we have tested) other overcranks play back correctly in both camera playback, NLE and RedCine except 120FPS at 5kWS.

I am specifically having issues with the camera in 5kWS 120fps recording the correct information. I wasn't sure if there is any information out there. It was a subrented camera that is a few firmwares behind as I have found. Our DRAGON is scheduled to arrive today, so I'll test it out on that camera and repost.

Just wanted to update. We got our DRAGON back from Red. It had the latest firmware and the problems are resolved.
