Hi ,

I have my cable guru, David Hable at CRAMPEDATTIC , ready to make me a power cable for my PRO GPI sled to EPIC. I sent him the schematic found at p 129 of the EPIC manual . He's ready to make the cable but heard a rumor that the pin configuration might change before the actual roll-out of EPIC-X . The steadicamforum also has a thread about "...RED guys at NAB talking about a final pin configuration not settled yet...." ....

Can someone at RED confirm the pin configuration that is in the manual is the one and only we should follow ? Thanks.

Fly safe.

Frederic

Yeah - would love to run off sled power... following this thread with great interest on both forums. Seems silly to have to mount a battery up top

Flown it yet?

Curious as to how you had your arm set up, monitoring and transmiters etc.

Got 9 weeks of this coming up... want to be prepared.

The pin outs described in the manual (depending on manual version it's somewhere between P 125 - 129) are correct. There are also pre-fabricated cables, and you might consider buying one of those and changing the non-camera end connector if you have a special application in mind.
