  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC AND PP5.5.1 AUDIO

+1, This is one of the most important fixes that we were looking for.

To ensure we are talking about the same issue, I was referring to PP's inability to extract audio when audio is part of the R3D file. You can use RedcineX's export to separate the audio and video of the R3D file and then import both separately into PP but of course this is an extra step and adds time to the workflow etc. Adobe indicated that this capability was not part of the Red SDK. There was no comment as to when this would be fixed. PP deals with raw R3D video so well, it was very disappointing to learn that this import function is not yet available.

Gary I'm referring to PP's inability to extract audio from the R3D file. It just seem another process in the way, transcoding just for the audio in redcine x
