epic 6x6 sensor?

Hi Folks,

Just for ask: is there any plan to build a 6x6 (56mmx56mm) sensor?
Or should I buy the 56x168 and cut it with a chainsaw? ;-)

No plans... don't really see a reason for it. The old 2 1/4" cameras (Hasselblad, Rollei, etc.) gave up on this format because square is not usually the finished size of anything. For the few times it is, cropping a rectangle is an easy alternative. Much easier than cropping a square most all of the time. With film is it not so bad. With a sensor, you are wasting a ton of money on unused pixels for each wafer.
