Brad,

That is a very good way to promote your products. Well done!

David

I want to promote good lighting for green screen for which you can use any scoping solution out there. I'm sick of seeing sloppy green screen work. I'm a big fan of Alex Lindsay and one of my favorite Alex quotes is "80 percent of your post production budget is wasted on the set.".

Brad, you are wedging your foot in your mouth a little deeper each time you post in this thread...

If you have suggestions for lighting green screens that you would like to offer, please post it. If you disagree with what I'm saying please post this as well. I'd like to know what dispute you have with the context of my posts.

That is a terrible green screen lighting job. There's about 10 percent variation in brightness across the screen. There's absolutely no saturation in the green channel, as it's barely green at all.

Haha, oh you're being serious. I thought you were being sarcastic.

Compared to most shots I usually get from supposedly top tier production companies and DPs this thing is a perfect gem. :D

There isn't even a PA in frame!

Brad... don't you think critical judgment should be done on the R3D instead of a flat, not graded, highly compressed post that was intended for a completely different purpose? These weren't posted for people to try to pull keys. There is no useful data in these to be picked apart.

We struggle with posting anything because people always do this.

I agree it's a lot better to look at the R3D, and if it's possible to post the R3D that would really help. It's the noise and saturation levels in the green channel that really freaked me out.

98% saturation isn't enough?

Orange hair on green no problem. Blonde on green huge problem. It's the quality of the green channel that has me worried too. Green is the brightest channel of the three and it shouldn't have any noise.

Brad - seems like you might have missed the whole point of this thread. And you insist on continuing to miss it even after Jarred has very nicely pointed it out. This isn't about you and your products, it's about Epic 5K at 96fps. It could have been shot against a piece of cardboard. It doesn't matter.

What application did you use to read 98% saturation for the green? I'm looking at it in the scopes in Apple's Color as well as the one's I wrote and the green registering about 20% saturation.

Brad... you are measuring saturation from a jpeg that was taken from a flat and reduced saturation grade in RAND? If you continue to derail this thread I will close it down.

Jim

Too late. I'm already pissed off.
