Some of these are really interesting. The Gospel of St. Matthew. Alice in Wonderland. Rocky. A Clockwork Orange.

Very Turner-esque stuff here. Voyage de la Luna has that Cubist thing going on.

Faves?

A similar idea:

It's like if every frame was laid out next to each other, then squashed down.

Its really cool because you get to see what kind of grade / overall colour scheme of the film is

It is cool but I'd use frame averaging, as opposed to photographing the screen. The movie barcode things are quite cool, too.

My very first thought when I looked at The Clockwork Orange. Like the bar codes, too. Would make for some cool wallpaper.

I really wish he'd do "Far From Heaven", one of the most beautiful color palettes in the history of film.

That is absolutely excellent, and sort of eerie - the Clockwork Orange one especially.

[Wayne Morellini]

Cool, you can get an idea of the way a director placed the main actors and objects in a film that way.

A very interesting approach, also visualizing the editing frequency. http://cinemetrics.fredericbrodbeck.de/
