Here it is folks... The last thing I'll ever shoot on a RedOne. Hawk V series Anamorphics.... Tied up in label/artist re-edits for over two months, but I'm still happy with the outcome.

It's not doing it any justice shown in 360p. Looks pretty bad this way. I hope nobody will judge your work from this...

I bought the clip off iTunes... I fucking HATE YouTube! For now, that's the best link I found...

Nice work Chris!

Beautiful, with those tell-tale horizontal anamorphic flares. It's fantastic work, (I can upres in my head with youtube, it's not always about the resolution :) I loved the split into two shots from the wide master shot in the diner, I've never seen that before. What was your lighting setup for the diner? It looks real natural.

Just because the Epic's out, doesn't mean the Red one MX isn't a great camera, it's still "lights out" incredible in dimly lit scenes.

Thanks Steve...

The diner is a rentable set. We placed it near a real shitty motel in the middle of nowhere CA. I had tons of mixed lighting sources going on for the diner, both inside and out. Half blue / half green kinos above. Tungsten uplight kinos behind the bar. Full CTO tungsten kinos above the grill area, dimmed practials on the walls... Neon... You get the idea.

Thanks Mark. The Eminem videos have all been good to me. This video almost didn't get released because I think they felt it was too violent and dark in tone. I was pretty distressed since it's my favorite work I've done on a video so far this year. I'm glad it saw the light of day (pun intended)!

It would have shocked me 5 years ago, lol. It was well in keeping with the mood & lyrics of the song.

Great job Chris, I worked on this video in post getting it prepped for MTV, Vevo etc and was wondering who the DP was...I really like your style! Let me know if you ever need an assistant on set (i DP as well)

Yeah that was sweet. How did you do it?

Lock the camera off at the split screen moment, get the actor as close as possible in position, quick morph between the takes and unlock the head for the b side...

Bloody VEVO.....

Hey Chris, this looks great. I'm a recent convert and now huge fan of shooting anamorphic on Red.

I don't suppose you shot the Dr Dre/Eminem 'I Need a Doctor' clip? I know that was a Dr. Dre release ft. Eminem, not strictly an Eminem release.

When I saw it on television it had this super-smooth motion, like 60p video. But on YouTube it doesn't look like that, it looks more like 24p (or thereabouts). I'm really curious to know why.
