Elizabeth Taylor RIP

... she will remain forever young.
Interesting comment, Meryem.

I remember years ago when she was identified as one of the people traveling to some country or other that was, I think, in the former Soviet Union. She was getting shots of HGH (human growth hormone) from a Doctor there that weren't yet allowed in the U.S., as I recall in order to do just that... remain forever young.

That's why she played Cleopatra: the Queen of denial. ( :

Love the fact that her funeral started fifteen minutes-as per her request. She even wanted to be late to her own funeral. That my friends is a sense of humour. Class act.

Although it is annoying when I see people saying 'the last of the great leading ladies' when Lauren Bacall, Olivia de Havilland, Sophie Loren et al are still very much alive.

Elizabeth Taylor RIP

I had the chance to work with her on a Nic Roeg picture Sweet Bird of Youth. While shooting a scene in a bedroom she was having trouble sitting up in the bed. One of the grips went over to help her as I did too. I remember looking in her eyes and was stunned. She had purple eyes. A color I had never seen before. They were not contact lenses. She was a beautiful woman even in her later years. She also had a funny wit. She never once acted as a Movie Star on the set. The wrap party was held at her house. Very sad about her loss. Life goes on. Earn it.
