Will one of your raincovers also be there?

I have it on my list of "Gear to Get" from Element Technica.

The aluminum battery plate, and 15mm & 19mm speedy v-lock clamps are also on my list.

When will these products be available?

Hand Held Kit
Red Drive Shock Mounts
Cheese Stick Top Handle

I am not complaining, just in desperate need of these pieces to complete this portion of my Red Kit.

I love my ET gear btw.

Cheers,

Andrew

PS- Nice sig Curran.

The raincover won't be there unfortunately. I'm setting up to take a bunch of photos today though and its on the list. So I'll show lots of photos soon.

The cheese stick and red raid shock mounts will be available on ET's website very soon. The handheld kit will follow as will the raincover.

Thank you Chris, I will place my order as soon as they appear.

I look forward to those photos as well.

Cheers,

Andrew

much looking forward to the handheld kit...

can we squeeze a drop of info out about this alleged ET Canon mount? as in, are you really considering it?

Cheese Stick

Cheese Stick

Here are some shots of the new Cheese Stick Handle from Element. This is one of two prototypes. One is here in LA in the shop for people to check out, the other one is at IBC.

As you can see, it has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 holes tapped along all four sides. It also has tubular clamps on both ends to accept anything with an outside diameter of 15mm or 19mm. You can insert a rod out over the lens for a lens motor, or insert a quick release spud for your red monitor. And I'm sure there will be others who will use them for all kinds of creative things.

It comes with two 15mm to 19mm collars. With the collar inserted, the clamps accept 15mm rods or accessories. Remove the collar, and now it accepts 19mm.

Works with Red 19mm top mounts, or ET 15mm top mounts.

Short Risers

Short Risers

Some people have expressed an interest in getting some handle risers that raise the handle up enough to get a nice grip when using the cheese plate and to clear the tube mount, but they wanted them to be a little shorter than our current 2'' risers.

So Element is now shipping 3/4'' risers. They come with stainless steel captive hardware that won't fall out when you remove the handle.

Finally I have some pictures to show. I know its taken a lot longer than I first anticipated to get them shipping, but they will be soon. I kept finding ways to improve it and make it more user friendly and I wanted to make them available to the first customers.

As you can see it has:

Major seems welded
Waterproof zipper access for CF, batteries, menu, and drives.
windows for menus
window for lens controls
access for follow focus
access for operator run/stop
access for EVF/LCD (which will have their own covers)
Handle access to carry the camera
extension capability to use long zooms (up to 24-290 optimo)

Here are a few shots featuring the 2'' handle risers, shock mount, EVF, breakout box, 2060 dovetail, cheese plate, ultra rods, and 15mm base plate.

Looks great Chris. Nice work!

Is the price still around $250?

Also, thanks for the photos of the other new gear from ET. I'm sold on each of these and all future products from ET....

I ordered the 2" risers a couple of days ago and have just seen your 3/4" here.

I also just ordered the 2" risers and now would rather have the 3/4". Actually, now that I think about it, do I even need any risers? I plan on getting the Cheese Stick Handle to replace my RED top handle + extension, but it looks like it has it's own risers.... :detective2:

Yes the target price for the raincover is still $250. And yes the cheese stick has a height built into it that makes it very comfortable to grip and puts it in a position similar to the 435 and Panavision Hollywood Handle. You don't need risers for it.
