Arrived yesterday. The new ET AB mount. No power cable. D-tap on the top. Mounts like any Epic module. Finally a great solution for AB users.

The second photo shows it next to the Weapon version. They are the same size, the crappy cell phone lens is introducing the distortion.

I wish you didn't have to use the adapter module

It's not so bad when you're using the +1 module...at least then the space adds some functionality to the camera.

Very glad to see this finally released!

If the Lentequip had a 24v output that would be fantastic.

Red must have finally given the green light for this as there are other companies making them as well. But ET stuff has always been great and I've been liking this version. Crazy it took four years to get this capability. And of course, I will be selling mine in a month or so (I hope) as my cameras get swapped for Weapons.

I had been using the Solid Camera Powerslice (which does not require the module adapter by the way). It is awesome, but only fits Dionic HCs in the current form and does not have a Dtap or any accessory power out. Easily solved with the addition of the brilliant Solid Camera Scatterbox2 -- which I cannot recommend highly enough. With SB on the back of the Powerslice you can fit any AB battery. Together, since there is no module adapter, it builds out to about the same size as the ET with the module adapter. The Powewrslice is a bit of a deal to install though, and does take the external power connector, so AC (prep in my case) is only an option thrught the XLR of an attached Scatterbox. So there were some drawbacks that the ET solves easily.

And it's a more straightforward and a cheaper solution if you don't need 24v. And the build quality is great. And I just add the Scatterbox2 to it when I need that capability.

Solid camera has sadly stopped development of the powerslice. I had the original design and it had some limitations. I was looking forward to his version two, but he is putting all his energy into the scatterbox.

I'm glad I got one when I did. Mine was a prototype also. For Gimbal work the Powerslice provides the shortest build with a rear mounted battery. Still a really handy piece of kit. I had a machinist route the cable protrusion down a bit. I was able to get a C-box to fit (although I had to shave a bit off the C box as well). FYI a C Box on the back of a Scatterbox will not pass enough power to run everything else. The C Box has to be sandwiched with the battery attached to the Scatterbox. But I can see why Carlos is focusing on the Scatterbox. It is brilliant. And battery plates that power thru the body have a lot of advantages, so the Powerslce was a bit of an interim solution.

The ET AB mount and a Scatterbox make a great power solution for the Epic Dragon, and the Weapon when that arrives.
