Hi I'm unable to eject Redmag SSD cards from the Red Station Redmag 1.8" from my PC (windows 7) & disconnect Red Station from PC. The Safely Remove Hardware icon

doesn't display the Red Station & the "eject" option doesn't appear when you looking in "Computer" Can someone explain how else to do these procedures? Thanks

Sometimes, a USB drive the system reports as still being used despite all applications accessing the drive being closed off. This may be a hint that there is a virus hanging around trying to do unspeakable things remaining engaged with the USB drive. - I have always fretted that with the SI2K P+S recorder being Windows XPe based, it might be vulnerable to Windows viruses. There is a protection built into the embedded OS which blocks writing to the C: drive card. This has to be user-disabled before any upgrades can be implemented. So far since 2009 it seems to have worked. My only scare turned out to be a clock battery gone flat which causes the clip filenames to shuffle in the list. Because they are generated related to the system clock which once the battery has gone flat, resets itself to its birthdate with each shutdown and re-boot. This causes filenames which on successive occasions, have been generated at a "clock" time between other previously filmed clips with previous and later clip start times according to the clock, to be interposed in the clip list. This was occurring in DVR1. It has not happened in DVR2 because the battery has not gone flat since but DVR2 also has alternative filenaming options. I imagine the RED camera family will have even better protection in that the OS is a unique original or highly customised and one of your code writers came from the SI2K project. ---- There some useless information for you. ---- Who knows? --- There may be some among you who still have an SI2K in the closet. ---- As always, said in jest with maybe just a hint of envy.
