Hey everyone,

I have some shoots coming up where I think Im going to want to use EF Lenses instead of PL glass. The canon EF to RF adapter works great for a lot of shoots. However I really hate that there isn't a proper lens adapter support for it. Sometimes you need to fly the camera on a gimbal and you need to save weight so having Rods with a lens support to support isn't an option.

In those cases where you feel like you're cutting it close on weight, a lens adapter support, that mounts to a cage would be a great thing to have to protect the camera's RF Mount. The metabones CINE smart EF to RF adapter looks awesome, but its not supported by any of the komodo cages that I can find. I found some people that used some washers with the 8sinn support adapter.

Also I am aware of the Kippertie adapta, however it would not arrive in time for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me out?

If you are using full frame EF glass, and have a Canon 0.71X EF to RF Speed Booster Adapter handy, consider using that instead.
8Sinn makes a support part that screws into their cage.

I am in SoCal and I have brand new Canon 0,71 adapter I bought for a shoot and never used in the end.
Feel free to hit me up if you need it and end-up going this route.

Unfortunately I use a lot of EF S35 glass so a speedbooster isn't the greatest option for me.
