editing with build 21

What is the current solution for editing with build 21?
tried metafuze, but it shows only black, finalcut 3 plays refrence files but doesnt let me edit.
what can i do?

FCP edits fine with the proxies... ? I'm doing it write now, You must be doing something wrong.
Or convert the files to PRO RES HQ 2k, 1k...in RED RUSHES or Cine x , no difference.

Sony Vegas edits build 21 footage as easy as if it was DV.

when i try to edit with the proxies i get a red line, it will not play out but show me the blue "unrender" screen. it will play fine the proxies but not on the recorder.
i do have the latest fcp red plugin as well as the most updated quicktime.

There are a lot of exceptions when trying to use the _M,_H,_P proxies. Various resolutions at various aspect ratios will not bring up the "Unlimited RT" options. I know if you shoot 4k 2:1@23.976 the option becomes available for the _M proxies. But in my experience trying to edit with this material has it's issues. Performance is chunky in all but the fastest equipment.

Better IMO to process your footage out as 1/8 res or 1/4 res quicktimes, and do an offline/online. Especially if you are not using the latest and greatest hardware. (Even an old G5 would do the trick to edit 1k offline files)
